Historically Absinthe has been illegal in most of the world and is still heavily regulated in Europe because of it's high alcohol content and the urban legend that it has hallucinogenic properties.
In reality, Absinthe is simply a beautifully rich spirit with a thick texture and the heavy taste of anise. With it's long and interesting history, It is highly regarded in Berlin and is held in the same esteem as good wine or old whiskey.
Come with me and visit the best of Berlin's artisan Absinthe merchants, including the liqueur market and the famous Absinthe depot.
